PROGRAMS:

Programming at the Lake Erie Ballet is three tiered; training, performance and outreach. Each of these programs is integral to the other. Our collective of artists, who work most closely with our performing companies also train within the school. Those dancers and guest artists who work and perform with the companies of the Lake Erie Ballet also play an integral role in Arts in Education and Arts in Medicine Programs.

The Lake Erie Ballet - Academy of Dance enlists only the most qualified and capable professionals to conduct classes and continuing development the ballet curriculum offered to students ages 2 1/2 through adult. Children's Division classes provide a comprehensive approach to dance arts and movement by integrating the National Dance Education Organization Standards with a consistent approach to foundations of classical ballet. Student Division classes continue development of personal dance aesthetic and technical aspects of dance. All classes are taught from the perspective of an approach to classical ballet - jazz, modern, contemporary and tap classes differentiate movement vocabulary and broaden the students overall movement vocabulary while developing different muscle groups and fine tuning coordination skills.

Performance is an invaluable aspect of dance training; for the teacher, choreographer and the dancer. At the Lake Erie Ballet the student is connected with the teacher, the dancer with the artist and the audience with the dance. The Lake Erie Ballet offers several quality performing opportunities to students - novice to professional - and choreographers throughout the season.

Every season, new arts experiences are tailored into each performance and production schedule. Through these special programs, non-traditional audiences are afforded the opportunity to experience and interact with the artists and performers of the Lake Erie Ballet. Some of these programs include:
